Job description

Executive Assistant to the CEO (Undergraduate, Part-Time)

Our client is an emerging technology company seeking an ambitious undergraduate to work directly alongside its CEO during a pivotal stage of growth. This is not a traditional administrative position. It is a hands-on opportunity to contribute to executive priorities spanning AI-enabled operations, market intelligence, financial planning, corporate initiatives, and company growth. The right candidate will gain unusually broad exposure to the inner workings of an early-stage organization while helping leadership turn complex questions into clear, actionable next steps.

This Role Offers:
  • Competitive hourly compensation with the opportunity to participate in an early-stage equity program, subject to applicable approvals and plan terms.
  • Direct collaboration with the CEO and meaningful exposure to executive-level decision-making.
  • Exposure to company-building activities across strategy, finance, research, operations, and corporate matters.
  • A flexible, remote-first schedule designed to accommodate an undergraduate academic calendar.
Focus:
  • Partner directly with the CEO to advance high-priority strategic and operational initiatives across a fast-moving early-stage business.
  • Research emerging markets, competitors, technologies, and commercial opportunities, translating findings into concise executive-ready memos.
  • Build and improve AI-enabled workflows that reduce manual work across business operations, finance, research, and administrative processes.
  • Maintain operating budgets, monitor spending, organize financial information, and develop practical spreadsheet-based analyses.
  • Prepare polished materials supporting financing activities, accounting needs, legal matters, and other corporate priorities.
  • Help organize sensitive company records and support compliance, documentation, and business administration workflows.
  • Participate in select external discussions and help leadership prepare information needed for important stakeholder conversations.
  • Operate within a remote-first cadence that includes three brief evening PDT calls each week and occasional onsite work in Mountain View.
Skill Set:
  • Currently enrolled as an undergraduate at a university in the San Francisco Bay Area, with Stanford University, UC Berkeley, or Santa Clara University experience preferred.
  • Available approximately 5 to 15 hours per week during the academic term, including three 20-minute evening PDT calls and occasional Mountain View onsite work.
  • Demonstrated experience using AI agents, LLM applications, scripts, or related tools to automate real corporate, operational, or accounting workflows. Candidates should be prepared to explain the tools used and what they personally built or delivered.
  • Strong independent research and writing ability, including the judgment to investigate an open-ended market, competitive, or technology question and produce a concise, sourced memo that supports decision-making.
  • Working knowledge of budgeting, spend tracking, spreadsheets, and financial modeling, gained through coursework, employment, internships, or hands-on projects.
  • Experience in an early-stage startup, student-founded company, venture organization, or similarly entrepreneurial environment where you personally owned meaningful operating responsibilities.
  • Exceptional judgment, organization, initiative, and follow-through, with the ability to work effectively without extensive supervision.
  • Demonstrated discretion when handling highly confidential financial, ownership, compensation, legal, personnel, and proprietary business information.
