Job description

Who Are We?

Our company is based on the science of our founder, Stanley Qi, one of the original CRISPR co‑inventors who then furthered the technology so that DNA does not need to be cut to accomplish gene regulation. Instead, we regulate the epigenome to suppress and activate multiple genes simultaneously. We are further evolving the platform and leveraging its strengths to address unmet medical needs.

We are looking for exceptional team members who want an active role in building a rapidly growing biotech.

Opportunity:
Epicrispr Biotechnologies is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and strategic Executive Assistant to provide dedicated support to the CEO. This role is critical in maximizing executive efficiency, ensuring seamless coordination of priorities, and serving as a trusted partner to leadership. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast‑paced biotech environment and brings a high level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.

  • Provide high-level administrative support to the CEO by managing complex calendars, prioritizing competing demands, and ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Serve as a trusted partner to leadership by anticipating needs, proactively addressing challenges, and driving follow‑up on key initiatives.
  • Coordinate executive and leadership meetings, including agendas, briefing materials, logistics, and action item tracking.
  • Act as the primary liaison between executives and internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear, professional, and timely communication.
  • Prepare executive presentations, reports, Board materials, and other communications for senior leadership, investors, and key stakeholders.
  • Partner with Corporate Communications to support executive messaging, media engagements, and company communications.
  • Support strategic corporate initiatives by coordinating information requests, maintaining organized documentation, and managing secure document‑sharing platforms and data repositories.
  • Track executive projects and cross‑functional initiatives to ensure milestones, deliverables, and timelines remain on track.
  • Handle highly confidential and sensitive information with discretion and sound judgement.
  • Coordinate Board meetings, investor meetings, and other executive‑level events.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Finance, HR, Corporate Communications, and other cross‑functional teams to support executive priorities and organizational initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, streamline workflows, and enhance executive effectiveness.
  • Manage domestic and international travel arrangements, including detailed itineraries and real‑time schedule adjustments.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned in support of executive leadership and evolving business needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred with 6+ years of experience supporting C‑level executives or senior leadership, preferably within biotech, life sciences, venture‑backed startups, or a fast‑paced growth environment
  • Proven ability to manage complex calendars, competing priorities, and executive workflows with a high degree of autonomy and sound judgment
  • Exceptional organizational, project management, and time management skills, with the ability to anticipate needs and drive execution
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing executive‑level materials, presentations, and internal/external communications
  • Experience developing and managing board and investor‑facing materials, including data room coordination, due diligence preparation, PowerPoint presentations, and corporate communications preferred
  • Experience interacting with board members, investors, external partners, and senior stakeholders highly preferred
  • High level of discretion, professionalism, confidentiality, and emotional intelligence when handling sensitive company information
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office (particularly PowerPoint), SharePoint, Slack, calendar management tools, and other executive productivity platforms
  • Proficiency working in a Mac environment and familiarity with Apple productivity tools preferred
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment with shifting priorities and a high level of ambiguity

Compensation: The salary range for this position is $120,000 to $165,000 USD annually. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on various factors, including, without limitation, individual education, experience, tenure, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data, including potential adjustments for geographic location.
