Mercer University's Office of the Provost is searching for an Executive Assistant on the Macon, Georgia campus.
The Executive Assistant is responsible for providing direct administrative support to the Vice Provosts. Additionally, this position is responsible for coordinating administrative functions of the office; is the first line of communication for incoming calls and inquiries; and providing coordination and planning assistance for university functions, projects, websites, and assessment measures headed by the Office of the Provost.
A high degree of confidentiality is required.
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university and one year of prior administrative support experience are required. In lieu of education, equivalent directly relevant experience will be considered. Candidates must be able to use MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Acrobat PDF maker. Additionally, candidates must possess the ability to learn various enterprise systems (i.e. Workday).
Ability to type quickly and with good accuracy to prepare correspondence, reports, and other items efficiently. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel to support individuals. Working knowledge of PowerPoint and Publisher to support presentations, graphic design, and website maintenance. Good interpersonal communication skills to interact with high-level administrative officers both inside and outside of Mercer University. Ability to maintain discreteness and confidentiality to ensure appropriate handling of sensitive and confidential matters.
