Job summary

Truist Wealth in Atlanta, GA seeks an experienced Executive Assistant to support an Operating Council Leader. The role coordinates the leader's calendar, travel, and communications, while preparing polished presentations for senior management.

The ideal candidate has extensive administrative experience, superb written and verbal communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Strong organizational skills and independence are essential.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Seven years administrative experience in support role with two years of experience supporting a senior level manager or professional.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (including strong knowledge of spelling and grammar), organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and math skills.
  • Ability to work independently and provide direction to other clerical staff.
  • Ability to deal with complex situations that require sound judgment.
  • Exhibits the poise, confidence, and interpersonal skills necessary to favorably interact with employees, clients, senior corporate officers, and directors.
  • Ability to operate office equipment (fax, copier, etc.).
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products.

Responsibilities

  • Provide highly complex administrative support to an Operating Council Leader.
  • Partner with the supported OC Leader and other executive assistants to ensure a smooth operating environment for senior management.
  • Manage executive’s schedule, including appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements; prepare and edit communications and graphic presentations.
  • Complete projects by setting objectives, prioritizing, and coordinating with others; monitor progress and adjust as needed.
  • Serve as a liaison with important clients and executives to facilitate informed decisions and timely problem resolution.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion.

Please review the following job description:

Provide highly complex administrative support to an Operating Council (OC) Leader. Partner with the supported OC Leader and other executive assistants to ensure a smooth efficient operating environment for the highest level of senior executive management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  1. Ensure effective communication and partnership with Executive Assistant teammates. Identify issues, research questions, and bring matters to manager’s attention.
  2. Establish and maintain files and records.
  3. Manage executive’s schedule (including appointments, meetings, and arrangement of travel requirements and itineraries) and correspondence by gathering information, preparing and editing communications and designing and preparing graphic presentations.
  4. Complete projects and special assignments by establishing objectives; determining priorities; managing time; gaining cooperation of others; monitoring progress; problem-solving; making adjustments to plans.
  5. Serve as a liaison, interacts with important clients, community leaders and other executives to help ensure informed and consistent decisions are made and problems are researched and resolved timely and appropriately.
  6. Deal discreetly with confidential information.
