Job summary

Everforth Apex is seeking an Exchange Migration Engineer to plan, design, and manage email and data migrations during acquisitions. You will support Exchange Online migrations, DNS configurations, and data migrations to Box, collaborating with senior engineers and external partners.

The role requires 3+ years in Exchange Online migrations, PowerShell, and strong communication skills. This is a 6-month contract position based in Fort Mill, SC with a focus on minimizing user disruption.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems, or equivalent IT work experience of 3+ years.
• 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Exchange Online, including migrations.
• Experience with DKIM, SPF, and DMARC.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting.
• Ability to explain technical procedures in business terms for non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the migration of mailboxes from multiple external sources to one or more managed Exchange Online tenants.
• Assist in the planning and execution of the migration process, ensuring minimal disruption to users and business operations.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, internal teams, and external partners to assess current mailbox configurations and requirements for migration.
• Provide escalation support to end-users during the migration process, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
• Document migration procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.
• Assist the Data Migration team as necessary to migrate data from external sources to a centralized, managed Box instance.
