Job summary

Intone Inc. is seeking an experienced Exchange Engineer in the New York, NY area for a full-time hybrid role. You will design, support, and optimize Microsoft Exchange Server 2019 and Exchange Online environments, with a strong focus on hybrid configurations, migrations to Microsoft 365, and email security.

The role requires Tier 3 troubleshooting, documentation, and collaboration with security teams to enforce DLP, encryption, and compliance policies.

Qualifications

• MCITP or MCSE certification is required.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on Exchange administration experience.
• Strong PowerShell scripting for admin tasks, automation, and reporting.
• Deep knowledge of Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, and hybrid configurations.
• Understanding of Outlook integration with Teams, Purview, and 365 services.
• Solid grasp of SPF, DKIM, and DMARC email authentication.

We are seeking an experienced Exchange Engineer for a full-time position in the New York, NY area to manage, maintain, and support enterprise Microsoft Exchange Server 2019 and Exchange Online environments. This is a hybrid role requiring three days per week on-site at our Park Avenue location. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in hybrid messaging infrastructure, Microsoft 365 migrations, email security, and advanced troubleshooting to ensure reliable, secure messaging services.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, administer, and maintain Microsoft Exchange Server 2019 and Exchange Online environments.
• Manage hybrid Exchange configurations and support migrations to Microsoft 365.
• Provide Tier 3 support for complex messaging incidents and service requests, including root cause analysis and resolution.
• Maintain high availability and disaster recovery capabilities for messaging systems.
• Conduct system health checks, apply patches and updates, and manage capacity planning.
• Automate administrative tasks and reporting using PowerShell and other scripting tools.
• Monitor email traffic and security logs to identify and respond to threats, delivery issues, and unusual activity.
• Partner with security teams to implement and enforce email data loss prevention (DLP), encryption, and compliance policies.
• Maintain documentation of system configurations, operational procedures, and incident resolutions.

Qualifications

Required

• MCITP or MCSE certification.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft Exchange environments.
• Strong proficiency in PowerShell scripting for administration, automation, and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, and hybrid Exchange configurations.
• Understanding of Exchange Online's integration with Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Purview, and other Microsoft 365 services.
• Solid understanding of email authentication protocols, including SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, and networking fundamentals.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred

• Experience administering Clearswift Secure Email Gateway, including policy configuration, upgrades, content filtering, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with protection against spam, directory harvesting attacks, and reverse non-delivery report (NDR) attacks.
• Knowledge of Trend Micro ScanMail.
• Experience supporting or administering AirWatch mobile device management (MDM).
• Proficiency in Python.
