Davies North America is seeking a Workers' Compensation Excess/SDF Claims Specialist to join our Claims Administration & Adjusting team in the United States. You will manage excess reporting for workers’ compensation claims, ensuring timely submissions to excess carriers and adherence to contract timelines and financial thresholds.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of Florida WC claims experience, an active adjuster license, and familiarity with state Workers' Compensation statutes.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of claims-handling experience in Florida WC law.
• Active Adjuster license (FL 5-24 or 5-20/6-20) required.
• Knowledge of state-specific Workers' Compensation statutes.
• Able to operate a computer and claims/business software.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong client service.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate with clients/insurance agents to ensure excess policies and declarations are available for each year with open claims.
• Provide timely notices to excess carriers about Third Party Administration services and reporting procedures.
• Identify retention levels and special reporting requirements for excess policies with carriers.
• Prepare and file initial, follow-up, and final reports to excess carriers per guidelines (e.g., 90/180 day cycles).
• Assist with settlement authority and provide documentation to carriers; maintain timely reporting.
• Maintain diary and ensure state reporting compliance; communicate with supervisors and specialists.
• Monitor SDF potential and pursue fund reimbursement per state requirements.
• Notify employers, attorneys, and medical professionals promptly; update SDTF status as needed.
• Interact with excess carriers and SDTF; update status reports quarterly or per accounts.
