Job summary

Davies North America is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Manager to lead the Florida-based claims team, ensuring high-quality handling, regulatory compliance, and excellent client service.

You will coach adjusters, oversee complex claims, and partner with clients and attorneys to achieve favorable outcomes. Must be licensed in FL and experienced with presumption claims, with travel up to 15%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Risk Management, or related field; JD or CPCU a plus.
• 8–12 years of Workers’ Compensation claims experience, incl. 3+ years in leadership.
• Active FL adjuster license.
• Presumption claims experience in FL.
• FL WC claims experience.
• Strong knowledge of statutes and laws.
• Experience managing complex litigation and settlements.
• Proven leadership for mentoring and performance management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; client-facing reporting.
• Travel up to 15%.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of WC claims professionals handling Florida-focused caseloads.
• Oversee complex, high-exposure claims, including catastrophic and presumption claims.
• Direct reserving, litigation management, and settlements within delegated authority.
• Collaborate with clients, brokers, attorneys, and vendors for quality, cost-effective resolutions.
• Ensure compliance with client SLAs, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Analyze claims data to identify trends and support risk mitigation.
• Participate in QA reviews, audits, and continuous improvement.
• Provide training and coaching to staff.
