Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools seeks an EC PNA Exceptional Children Teacher Assistant to support the classroom teacher and EC students. The role involves assisting with instruction, supervision, and implementing IEP goals in a structured school setting.

The position is full-time, 9 months, 40 hours per week, with work on site at Ridge Road Middle, Charlotte, NC. The successful candidate will collaborate with educators and families, and support learners with diverse needs.

Competenze

• Knowledge of state and federal regulations for exceptional children.
• Ability to implement local, state, and federal rules in daily operations.
• Knowledge of IEP process, strategies, classroom management and learning assessment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers and families.

Mansioni

• Assist students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning.
• Supervise students in classrooms, halls, cafeterias and gymnasiums.
• Coordinate with teachers to plan instructional support and materials.
• Support with attendance procedures, record keeping and classroom organization.
• Prepare lesson materials and classroom displays for assigned classrooms.
• Assist with field trips and transportation duties involving students.
• Provide physical assistance as needed to students and therapists as directed.
