Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations for exceptional children and related policies.
• Experience with classroom management and differentiation techniques to support diverse learners.
• Ability to communicate clearly with students, families, and staff.
• Familiarity with IEP processes, goals, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to state, federal, and local laws, policies, and procedures.
• Assist students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning.
• Supervise students in classrooms, halls, cafeterias, and playgrounds.
• Enforce school policies and rules governing students.
• Coordinate with teachers to plan instruction and adapt materials.
• Provide physical assistance and support as needed for self-care and mobility.
• Collect progress data toward IEP goals and document outcomes.
• Support during bus, field trips, and school activities.
• Prepare instructional materials, displays, and classroom setup.
• Participate in professional development and meetings.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
