Busey is seeking an Exception Item Specialist to provide operational support across Retail, Commercial, Treasury Management and Wealth clients. The role emphasizes service excellence, processing NSF decisions, and risk mitigation within a structured plan and SLA-driven environment.

Responsibilities include reconciliations, check processing, fraud prevention, and collaboration with multiple departments to meet client needs.

Qualifications

• Proficient with MS Excel and PowerPoint for reporting and analysis.
• Strong oral and written communication, organizational and listening skills.
• Ability to document and communicate issues and processes clearly.

Responsibilities

• Understand loan policies to accurately make and process NSF decisions and customer correspondence.
• Process commercial cash FED ordering and monitor deposits and cash vaults with vendor partners.
• Research and process check chargebacks and reconcile General Ledger accounts to SLA.
• Process foreign check collection and balance deposit items; identify fraudulent items and notify Fraud Dept.
