Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Experience in construction is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with safety policies using appropriate tools.
• Follow OSHA/MSHA regulations for safe procedures.
• Report problems to your manager.
• Assist paving crew with duties such as shoveling, raking, and wheelbarrow work.
• Signal operators of equipment to facilitate material movement.
• Follow daily task directions from the manager.
• May operate small power tools (e.g., jackhammer).
• Dig, spread and level construction materials.
• Lift and carry materials, tools, and supplies.
• Assist in placement and removal of signs, barricades, cones, and traffic devices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
