Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Medina Hospital is seeking an Environmental Services Team Lead to supervise daily cleaning operations, train new staff, and ensure a safe, hygienic environment for patients and families. The role emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, and adherence to hospital policies.

The position supports the EVS department’s commitment to high-quality patient care, working days 7:00am–3:30pm, with every other weekend and 3 holidays per year.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of environmental services/housekeeping experience.
• Strong customer service and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow directions with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of cleaning agents, safety procedures and equipment storage.

Responsibilities

• Train new caregivers in floor care, wall washing, carpet cleaning and procedures.
• Clean patient rooms and assigned areas daily; collect trash, change linens, and sanitize surfaces.
• Follow policies on patient isolation.
• Stock paper items and supplies in patient rooms.
• Maintain cart and equipment in clean, working condition and store properly after shift.
