Job summary

Cleveland Clinic’s Medina Hospital is seeking an Environmental Services Area Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients and staff. Working Monday to Friday, 3:00pm–11:30pm with rotating weekends and holidays, you will clean patient rooms, exam rooms, offices, waiting areas and restrooms, stock supplies, and follow all safety and procedural guidelines.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow directions with minimal supervision.
• Clear, courteous communication and teamwork with caregivers and staff.
• Ability to adapt to changing assignments in a fast-paced cleaning environment.

Responsibilities

• Clean patient rooms, ancillary areas, exam rooms, offices, waiting areas, public restrooms, discharge rooms and other assigned areas.
• Stock paper items and other supplies in patient rooms, exam rooms, and restrooms.
• Follow scripting, policies and procedures on patient isolation and all Environmental Services procedures.
• Follow hospital-wide and departmental safety requirements.
• Complete 1–3 months of on-the-job training to learn policies, cleaning techniques, and chemical handling.
