Job summary

Michigan Medicine seeks a Multifunction Services Associate Supervisor to join Environmental Services in an entry-level leadership development role. You will learn EVS workflows, reinforce safety standards, assist with onboarding and training, conduct inspections, and support service recovery while developing leadership skills.

You will observe supervisory processes, document findings, and escalate concerns to EVS leadership.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in environmental services or related field.
• Ability to meet physical requirements including lifting up to 50 lbs and handling cleaning chemicals.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn EVS operations and leadership practices through hands-on exposure.
• Monitor workflows and service needs; report barriers to EVS leadership.
• Observe supervision processes like recruitment and performance management.
• Assist with onboarding, orientation, and staff training.
• Provide peer-level support and reinforce cleaning, safety, and professionalism.
