Job summary

Rivian is seeking an EVOC Triage Engineer to join our Tempe team, focused on rapid triage, tracking, and resolution of fleet issues using CAN tools. You’ll work across diagnostics, data capture, and driver coordination to accelerate vehicle development and reliability.

Responsibilities include managing driver tickets in Jira/Slack, analyzing issue trends, and ensuring thorough data capture for root-cause analysis.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in a fast-paced technical environment (automotive or hardware testing preferred).
• Strong knowledge of EV systems and vehicle diagnostics.
• Proficient in Jira for ticketing, workflow management, and reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering, Automotive Technology, or related field.
• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to travel to remote locations on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Manage Driver Assignments: Create driver tickets and assignments through JIRA and Slack to ensure drivers have a vehicle to accumulate miles.
• Manage Issue Triage & Tracking: First line of defense for new vehicle issues; document, prioritize, and assign issues using Jira; analyze trends.
• Investigate & Document: Collaborate with test drivers to gather logs and feedback; ensure diagnostic information is captured and linked.
• Facilitate Failure Analysis: Create Rivian Concerns for hardware issues; manage logistics for failed components and route to engineering or suppliers.
• Act as a Key Liaison: Communicate between test drivers, workshop/tech team, and engineering groups for rapid problem resolution.
• Maximize Fleet Uptime: Manage fleet schedule; create and track workshop repair tickets from inception to closure.
• Coordinate Vehicle Updates: Oversee OTA software updates; manually flashing may be required.
