Job summary

The City of Pasadena seeks a Property & Evidence Technician to manage daily intake, logging, and storage of property and evidence. You will verify packaging and submission forms, initiate refusals for non-conforming items, and prepare materials for transport to labs or for return to owners.

Disposal letters and court reporting are part of the duties. Preferred candidates will hold a high school diploma or GED, a Texas license upon hire, and pursue required certifications within one to three

Qualifications

• Must be physically capable of standing, walking, lifting, and repetitive tasks.
• Must obtain property & evidence certifications within specified timelines.
• Documentation must reflect accurate intake and disposal procedures.

Responsibilities

• Receive and log property and evidence from secure storage.
• Check packaging, forms, and conformity; initiate non-conforming actions.
• Prepare items for transport to laboratories and for return or disposal.
• Maintain disposal letters and release property to owners as required.
• Generate reports on property and evidence when requested.
