Job summary

North Park Elementary in Roy, Utah is seeking a Literacy Aide (Literacy Support Paraprofessional) for 5.75 hours per day (28.75 hours/week) on a 180-day calendar to deliver targeted reading interventions for grades K-3.

The role requires implementing Instruction aligned with the Science of Reading, supporting individualized reading plans, and collaborating with teachers to keep plans up to date with current data and compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead evidence-based reading interventions aligned with the Science of Reading for students in grades K-3.
• Work closely with classroom teachers and the literacy coach to ensure interventions are delivered with fidelity.
• Assist with literacy building activities and strategies.
• Collaborate with administrators to develop aide schedules.
• Complete ongoing Science of Reading training to ensure best practices are followed.
• Monitor and review Individualized Reading Plans and communicate progress with teachers.
