Job summary

The GEO Group is seeking a Monitor for GEO Reentry Services LLC in Anchorage, AK. You will manage resident caseloads, perform intake and monitoring tasks, and assist with budgeting, housing, and employment activities to support successful community reintegration.

Responsibilities include documenting progress, ensuring safety and confidentiality, and orienting new clients to program rules. A driver’s license and English proficiency are required; Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor's degree in Human Services is preferred where contracts require it.
• Substance abuse or domestic violence certification or ability to obtain certification.
• One year experience as a Monitor or two years in a related field.
• Familiar with community corrections systems and employment services.
• Ability to write clear concise reports in English; valid driver's license; bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of residents and administer program policies and procedures.
• Perform Monitor duties including intakes, check-ins, breath analysis and drug screens.
• Assist residents with budgeting, housing, education, employment, and community activities.
• Ensure safety, confidentiality, and document progress and program participation.
• Orient new clients to program rules and coordinate with staff to support re-entry goals.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Bachelor’s degree in Human Services

Substance abuse or domestic violence certification

Ability to write clear reports in English

Valid, active driver’s license

Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
