Job summary

StoneRidge Senior Living Community in Mystic, CT is seeking an RN or LPN to join Avalon Health Center on a 2nd shift, part-time schedule (3pm–11pm), about 8 hours per week, alternating weekends.

You will administer high quality nursing care, manage medications, and document observations while supporting residents and collaborating with the care team. The role includes weekend shift differentials and opportunities for professional growth within a expanding senior living community.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN/LPN license in Connecticut is required.
• Current CPR and IV certifications are required.
• Geriatric/rehabilitation experience with a good understanding of restorative nursing is required.

Responsibilities

• Administer high quality, accurate, and person-centered nursing care to all residents on shift.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and timely.
• Conduct observational and clinical documentation and update Supervisors of changes.
• Assist in the supervision and direct care of residents and nursing personnel.
• Gives and receives reports and communicates changes to physicians and families.
• Develop comprehensive care plans with the care team.

Type of Position: RN or LPN for Avalon Health Center at StoneRidge

Position Hours:

Part-time Floor Nurse : 2nd Shift (3pm-11pm); 8-hours/week

• Week 1: Saturday
• Week 2: Sunday

Pay: Starting at $26-$48 dollars per hour base, pay increases based on licensure and years licensed. Shift & weekend diff eligible.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The nurse is responsible for administering high quality, accurate, and person-centered nursing care to all assigned residents on his/her shift. Tasks may include the accurate and timely administration of medications and treatments, observational and clinical documentation, assisting in emergency calls, and updating Supervisors of changes.

• Assists in the supervision and direct care of residents and nursing personnel.
• Administers direct care as assigned.
• Gives and receives reports.
• Keeps physicians and families aware of changes in residents’ condition.
• Assists in developing comprehensive care plans
