Job summary

StoneRidge Senior Living Community in Mystic, CT is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant for the 2nd shift (3pm–11pm). Starting pay is $20.50–$24 per hour, with shift and weekend differentials; schedule is 16 hours per week with alternating weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Must have active CT nursing assistant registration.
• English proficiency to understand and follow instructions and document care.
• Prior geriatric nursing aide experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning and exercising.
• Provide treatments, perform tests, and collect specimens as instructed.
• Report observations and results of treatments, tests, procedures, and specimens when indicated.
• Transfer, transport, and escort residents as needed.
• Answer signal lights promptly and keep rooms clean and orderly.

Qualifications:

• Successful completion of a State approved nursing assistant training program. Registration with State of Connecticut registry required.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.
• Prior geriatric nursing aide experience is preferred.
• Ability to legibly track and document care given to each resident.
