Job summary

StoneRidge Senior Living in Mystic, CT is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant for evenings to support residents with daily care and basic health services. This role requires compassionate patient care and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, recording observations, and coordinating with the nursing team. Training and CT registry enrollment are required; prior geriatric experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• State-approved nursing assistant training completed.
• Connecticut registry registration required.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English is essential.
• Prior geriatric nursing aide experience is preferred.

• Assist residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting and exercises.
• Administer treatments, perform tests, and carry out procedures as instructed.
• Record observations and results of care provided.
• Transport residents as needed and respond promptly to signals.
• Keep residents' rooms clean and beds made.

Schedule: Part Time (16-hours/week), 2nd Shift (3pm-11pm)

Week 1: Sunday, Monday

Week 2: Monday, Saturday

Starting Pay: $20.50-$24 per hour, plus shift and weekend differentials

• Assists residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting and exercising.
• Gives treatments, performs tests, carries out procedures and collects specimens as instructed.
• Reports and records observations and results of treatments, tests, procedures, and specimens when indicated.
• Transfers, transports, and escorts residents as needed.
• Answers signal lights promptly.
• Changes bed linens, makes beds and keeps rooms clean and orderly.

Qualifications:

• Successful completion of a State approved nursing assistant training program. Registration with State of Connecticut registry required.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.
• Prior geriatric nursing aide experience is preferred.
• Ability to legibly track and document care given to each resident.
