Job summary

Far Out Ice Cream's Events & Catering program is hiring for the Supervisor position. This is a customer facing role in which you are bringing product to various events and serving it to our clients.

As an Events Supervisor you will staff events, provide exceptional service, drive our van to venues, and support the Events Manager with prep, packing, and presentation at each site.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of fast-paced food service experience.
• US Driver’s License required, with preference for oversized vehicle experience.
• Excellent customer service and hospitality mindset.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain calm.
• Knowledge of food handling and sanitation practices.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and orders.
• Reliable transportation to Brookline location and one professional reference.

Responsibilities

• Staff all Far Out Events & Catering opportunities, including weekly markets and private events.
• Provide exceptional customer service, greeting customers and answering questions about our menu.
• Safely drive our van to events venues.
• Help the Events Manager to prepare for events, including prepping products, printing menus, and packing the van.
• Maintain Far Out’s clean and professional appearance at each event.
• Operate point-of-sale system and handle cash/card transactions.
• Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure food safety and cleanliness.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
