Van Leeuwen Ice Cream is hiring part‑time Seasonal Events Team Members to work on our NYC Ice Cream Truck team (Events). We're looking for self‑starters with amazing energy, fantastic people skills, and a love for ice cream.

Job Responsibilities

• Display amazing customer service and positively represent the Van Leeuwen brand
• Maintain sound food handling and cleaning practices
• Exhibit menu and product knowledge, and accurately serve offerings to company standards
• Follow company protocols, driving and safety rules
• Effectively communicate with other team members and management while on shift
• Work happily and respectfully as part of the team, show initiative when needed
• Promote an environment of fun, kindness, and respect

Job Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older (18+)
• Food or other customer service experience
• Flexible availability; weekends are a MUST
• Self‑motivation and ability to work independently
• Ability to drive an Ice Cream Truck (Food Truck)
• Ability to work well as part of a team and autonomously
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment
• Ability to multi‑task
• Possess dexterity to prepare and serve guests all menu items in accordance with established service and build‑out standards
• Able to push/pull/lift 50 lbs of weight regularly
• Stand for extended periods of time regularly
• Walk up and down stairs regularly
• Stand, bend, and reach for prolonged periods of time
• Exceptionally high standards for cleanliness
• Valid driver's license required
• NYC DOH Food Handlers license required
• Bring a local Department of Health Food Handlers License
• Have a Motor Vehicle Record
• Must be willing/able to drive a food truck

Hourly Range: $20—$20 USD

The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, and certifications or other professional licenses held.
