Job summary

Rural King is seeking an Events and Promotions Manager to lead planning, coordination, and execution of promotional campaigns, store events, sponsorships, and community programs. You will supervise the Event Coordinator and Marketing Planning Coordinator, partner with Purchasing and Store Operations, and drive brand-aligned execution across channels.

This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage complex calendars and budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3–5 years in marketing operations, promotions, or event management.
• Experience supervising or leading associates.
• Strong calendar, deadline, and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with promotional systems and event platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, coordination, and execution of Rural King’s promotional initiatives, store events, sponsorships, and community engagement.
• Direct supervision of the Event Coordinator and Marketing Planning Coordinator; set priorities and provide feedback.
• Own the promotional calendar, coordinating timelines, assets, approvals, and store communications.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Marketing, Store Operations, and other partners to translate business objectives into plans.
• Oversee event batch creation, sign creation, proofing, testing, and validation for accurate offers and messaging.
• Plan and execute store, corporate, and community events including venues, vendors, and logistics.
• Manage sponsorships and community programs; evaluate opportunities and ensure brand visibility.
• Coordinate with Purchasing and vendors for cooperative marketing funding and compliance.
• Oversee budgets, invoices, and sponsorship documentation; work with Finance for accurate processing.
• Ensure clear communications to stores and internal partners; align with creative, digital, and PR teams.
