Job summary

Durango Cocina & Rooftop is seeking an energetic Restaurant Events & Sales Manager to grow private dining, rooftop events, corporate gatherings, weddings, and group dining. You will handle inquiries, generate new business, coordinate event details, and guide clients from initial inquiry through handoff to execution.

The role requires strong sales ability, superb communication, and meticulous organization to ensure every event is executed flawlessly.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in restaurant sales, catering, private events, hospitality sales, event coordination, or a related role is preferred.
• Strong sales ability with confidence in presenting, following up, negotiating, and closing business.
• Excellent written, verbal, telephone, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple events, deadlines, and client requests simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly and professionally to event inquiries via telephone, email, website, social media, and in-person.
• Sell private dining, rooftop events, group reservations, corporate functions, weddings, and other social events.
• Proactively generate new business by contacting local companies, planners, and organizations.
• Conduct property tours and present venue spaces, menus, and packages.
• Prepare proposals, event agreements, and detailed event information.
• Maintain an organized sales pipeline and follow up with prospective clients.
• Coordinate event details including dates, guest counts, layouts, menus, and AV needs.
• Communicate final event details to culinary, service, and hotel teams.
• Attend event-planning meetings and tastings as required.
• Track sales activity and revenue, and gather feedback post-event.
