An essential part of the Hyatt Regency Schaumburg’s success is this role, which involves a hands-on approach to guest satisfaction and team leadership, shaping first and lasting impressions of the hotel.

We are immediately hiring an Events Manager.

Position Purpose: Responsible for soliciting new accounts, entertaining, and maintaining relationships with existing clients.

Essential Functions:

  1. Travel to meet with or call individual corporate clients to solicit business.
  2. Meet and greet clients, conduct property tours, promote facilities and services, and answer inquiries.
  3. Develop client menus, write contracts and letters, and organize arrangements for social and corporate events.
  4. Supervise and attend the setup and execution of events, coordinating with relevant departments to ensure proper service.

Position Requirements:

  1. Minimum of six months hotel experience; operational food and beverage experience preferred.
  2. Thorough knowledge of service flow and capabilities across all revenue areas.
  3. Effective written and verbal communication skills with internal and external guests.
  4. Ability to network and market the property effectively.
