As an Events Intern on the Facilities and Workplace Services team, you will join an 11-week Summer Internship Program designed to give you hands‑on experience, expand your professional network, and build core industry skills. This full-time opportunity (40 hours per week) runs from June through August 2027. CarGurus operates on a hybrid working model, and candidates should expect to work out of our Boston, MA office 60% of the time (approximately three days per week).
Support the planning and delivery of office events, celebrations, employee engagement programs, leadership visits, and cross-office initiatives.
Help manage event requests, calendars, timelines, checklists, run‑of‑show documents, and follow‑up actions.
Coordinate event logistics such as rooms, catering, food and beverage, audiovisual support, supplies, signage, schedules, and guest needs.
Partner with vendors and internal teams to confirm details, track deliverables, and help ensure a smooth event experience.
Assist in drafting and coordinating event communications, invitations, reminders, instructions, and day‑of updates.
Provide onsite support during events, including setup, registration, troubleshooting, guest assistance, and breakdown.
Gather feedback, document lessons learned, and help improve event processes and templates over time.
Be a welcoming culture ambassador who helps create an inclusive, connected, and enjoyable experience for employees.
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Event Management, Facilities Management, Business Administration or a related field, with eligibility to complete a full‑time internship.
Interest in event planning, hospitality, workplace experience, community programs, communications, marketing, or a related field.
Strong organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and follow through.
Clear, friendly written and verbal communication skills.
A proactive, service‑minded approach and willingness to jump in wherever support is needed.
Calm judgement and flexibility when plans change or last‑minute issues arise.
Comfort working with employees, leaders, vendors, and partners at all levels.
Confidence using common workplace and collaboration tools, including calendars, documents, spreadsheets, and messaging platforms.
Availability to work onsite in the Boston office and support occasional events outside standard hours.
Previous experience supporting events, hospitality, customer service, administration, student organizations, or community programs is helpful but not required.
