Job summary

Michaels Stores in Burleson, TX is seeking an Events Coordinator to plan and coordinate in-store events, including children’s birthday parties and craft classes. You will engage clients of all ages, demonstrate crafts, and manage add-ons like goody bags and balloons to our standards.

You will also handle customer assistance, checkout, rewards enrollments, and omni-channel processes while maintaining a safe, clean environment and responding to client feedback. Night/weekend shifts may apply.

• Retail and/or customer service experience required

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children’s birthday parties and other craft classes or events.
• Engage with clients of all ages by creating an environment of fun and creativity.
• Demonstrate and instruct party participants in the completion of craft projects and related activities.
• Facilitate and implement party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons to company standards.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members.
• Complete administrative tasks such as answering emails, making phone calls, and completing paperwork.
• Adjust plans and events based on client feedback and needs.
• Create backup or emergency plans as needed.
• Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events.
• Uphold cleanliness and safety standards; set up, break down, and clean before and after each event.
• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Provide fast and friendly checkout experience.
• Engage customers on Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
• Educate on Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Assist with Omni channel processes (BOPIS and SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram processes.
• Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance.
• Perform Store in Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Adhere to SOPs and company policies; promote positive image.
• Interact respectfully and be a role model for team members.
• Cross-trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
• Participate in daily store cleanliness activities.
