Job summary

Michaels Stores in Lansing offers a dynamic role coordinating events inside the store, including kids' birthday parties, to create a fun, engaging guest experience. You will help customers shop, handle checkout, and support store operations.

You will plan and run multiple events, engage with customers of all ages, conduct crafts, manage add-ons, and ensure safety and cleanliness per Brand Promises, while following SOPs and policies.

Qualifications

• Experience planning and coordinating events such as children's birthday parties.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and events simultaneously.
• Experience working with children is preferred.
• Retail and/or store operations knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once within the store.
• Engage customers of all ages and facilitate activities.
• Assist with checkout, stocking, and store recovery standards.
• Communicate event details with clients and store team members.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and adherence to SOPs.
• Support enrollments in Rewards programs and Private Label Credit Cards when appropriate.
