Store - TRENTON-HAMILTON, NJ

Plan, coordinate, and facilitate events (including kids' birthday parties) within a Michaels store to provide a fun, engaging, and stress-free experience for guests. Deliver friendly customer service by assisting customers with their shopping needs and ensuring a fast checkout process. Complete operational tasks such as truck unloads, merchandise duties, and maintaining store recovery standards to uphold our Brand Promises.

Event Coordination
  • Plan and manage multiple events simultaneously, including children’s birthday parties and craft classes.
  • Create a fun and creative environment for clients of all ages, from 4 to 94+.
  • Demonstrate and instruct craft projects, perform face painting, and other activities.
  • Coordinate additional party features like goody bags and balloons according to company standards.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members about events.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as email correspondence, phone calls, and paperwork.
  • Adjust event plans based on client feedback and needs.
  • Develop backup or emergency plans as necessary.
  • Ensure client satisfaction with scheduled events.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards; set up, clean up, and break down after each event.
Customer Experience
  • Assist customers in locating products and providing solutions.
  • Ensure a quick and friendly checkout experience.
  • Promote and enroll customers in Rewards programs and Private Label Credit Cards.
  • Educate customers about Voice of Customer (VOC) surveys.
  • Support Omni-channel processes, including BOPIS and SFS.
  • Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram duties.
  • Maintain merchandise recovery and store in-stock levels.
  • Support shrink and safety programs.
  • Follow SOPs and company policies to ensure legal and operational compliance.
  • Interact respectfully with others, promote a positive image, and serve as a role model.
  • Cross-train in Custom Framing sales and production.
  • Participate in daily store cleanliness activities.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment
  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Mobility throughout the store.
  • Regular bending, lifting, reaching, and stretching.
  • Ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves with ladders.
  • Work involves outdoor and indoor activities, including some nights, weekends, and early mornings.

The position offers a total base pay range of $15.49 - $17.90.
