Job summary

Sun Outdoors in Florida is seeking an Activities Coordinator to plan, organize, and lead engaging events that boost resident and guest well-being and social interaction.

You will manage calendars, coordinate budgets, supervise staff, and ensure smooth setup and teardown, while maintaining Sun standards and delivering a fun, safe, and welcoming atmosphere. The role requires strong communication, multitasking, and the ability to work both independently and with a team.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Proficient with email and internet.
• Strong ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to negotiate prices/contracts for the resort.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and attend activities and events.
• Set up and clean up after events.
• Lead and train team members; motivate staff.
• Promote a fun, relaxing atmosphere for guests.
• Maintain attendance, vendor, income, and expense tracking.
• Ensure invoices are paid and document payments.
• Create seasonal calendar within budget.
• Purchase supplies for events and activities.
• Prepare and distribute weekly newsletter.
• Organize fundraising activities.
• Maintain inventories of offices and activities.
• Keep equipment and supplies in good condition.
• Other duties as assigned.
