Job summary

JLL in Plano, TX is seeking a Meeting and Events Support Specialist to manage end-to-end execution of 8-12+ daily events during peak periods, coordinating room configurations, AV setups, and vendor support.

You'll perform pre-event checks, troubleshoot tech in real time, and maintain conference spaces. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and adaptability to fast-paced event schedules.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in event support or AV operations.
• Ability to troubleshoot AV equipment and video conferencing systems.
• Strong attention to detail in fast-paced environments.
• Effective communication with diverse teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Willingness to work peak event days (Tue–Thu).
• Physical ability to move equipment and setup/breakdown.

Responsibilities

• Conduct 30-minute pre-event checks of meeting spaces to verify setup accuracy and ensure systems are functioning.
• Coordinate meeting crew crossovers to demonstrate camera angles and mic usage.
• Provide on-site AV support for events ranging from 30-minute checks to extended support for multi-presenter events.
• Manage table setup and breakdown for catering events and special requests.
• Perform regular audits of meeting spaces and test equipment (including Horizon Hall and Teams Panels).
• Plan daily operations and update Planon tickets, coordinating team assignments.
• Escort vendors and coordinate special event audio requests through the ticketing system.
