Job summary

MGM Resorts International in Las Vegas seeks an Event Staff Lead to oversee event setup and teardown, manage timelines, and ensure safety and client satisfaction. You will assign tasks to staff and outside labor, troubleshoot onsite issues with management, and stay current on design trends and inventory; a strong lead experience and theatre/event background are required.

Qualifications

2+ years of supervisory or lead experience in events or theatres.
2+ years of theatre or event-related experience.

Responsibilities

Assign on-site setup/teardown tasks to Event Staff and outside labor, ensuring safe handling of items.
Ensure décor, props, furniture and other items are set up/teardown on schedule and meet client expectations.
Troubleshoot onsite technical, creative and timeline issues with management.
Develop knowledge of hotel/venue locations and loading dock procedures; enforce safety policies.
Operate company vans, trucks and lifts safely; report maintenance needs.
Monitor inventory of tools, equipment and vehicles; document theft or damage.
Stay current on design trends and inventory; inspire creativity and practice best methods.
