Job summary

Hyatt Regency Bellevue on Seattle's Eastside is seeking an On-Call Event Setup Houseperson to support our Event Setup team and ensure guest satisfaction. This role collaborates with Event Planning and Services teams to bring event visions to life.

Responsibilities include setting up and breaking down spaces, maintaining clear communication, and adapting to client requests while able to lift moderate weights. On-call schedule includes AM/PM/overnight shifts; benefits apply.

Responsibilities

The Event Setup Houseperson is responsible for setting up and breaking down all meeting spaces with tables/chairs/water, etc. This person must have good communication skills as well as the ability to lift moderate weight. This is a fast-paced position that requires attention to detail and the ability to follow detailed instructions, while adapting and pivoting where needed to client requests and changes.

Compensation

The hourly rate offered for this position ranges from $17.50/hour to $18.03/hour. The starting rate for this position is $17.50/hour. This position earns additional compensation from event-based service charges, and may earn additional compensation from gratuities designated at the guest's discretion.

Preferred Qualifications

• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
• Refined verbal communication skills.
• Must have physical stamina to lift, push, and pull up to moderate weight.
• Ability to tolerate moderate amounts of walking.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule of AM, PM, and overnight shifts, holidays, and weekends.
• Previous experience in Event Setup and/or in Banquets is preferred.
