Job summary

Tao Group Hospitality is seeking part-time staff with strong server experience and a background in food and beverage, including cocktails and wine. Candidates should have banquet or event experience in high-volume settings and be able to deliver gracious hospitality while maintaining station cleanliness and accurate POS entries.

Roles involve presenting menus, addressing dietary restrictions, coordinating with event staff, and supporting front- and heart-of-house teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years server experience or equivalent related Tao Group Hospitality experience required.
• Minimum 2 years of food and beverage experience required.
• Previous banquet or event experience in a high-volume, fine dining or upscale hospitality environment is required.
• Comprehensive knowledge of classic cocktails required.
• Basic familiarity with wine varietals and classic regions around the world required.

Responsibilities

• Actively takes orders, conducts full and complete food/beverage service, and monitors guests' dining experience.
• Interacts with dining room guests, fellow team members, and supervisors in a polite, courteous manner to ensure gracious hospitality.
• Anticipate and accommodate the needs of the guests.
• Maintain general cleanliness of assigned stations and the entire venue.
• Direct event staff and oversee event operations.
• Provide professional and exceptional service.
• Present menus, answer questions and make suggestions for all food and beverage items.
• Inform guests of all food and beverage specials, with prices.
• Solicit any allergy or dietary restrictions from each guest.
• Enter all orders into the POS system accurately.
• Ensure the delivery of all food and beverage to the guests.
• Follow supervisor’s instructions and support co-workers as a team player.
• Communicate the needs of the guests to Front-of-House and Heart-of-House staff, managers, and chefs.
• Set up floor and opening/closing procedures as directed by management, including ensuring tables and settings are prepared and reporting issues.
• Attends and participates in daily pre-service meetings and training sessions.
• Learn by listening, observing, and leading by example.
• Demonstrates knowledge of Tao Group Hospitality, its partners, and supporting hotel environments.
