Job summary

Allied Universal Event Services is hiring Event Security staff to support Lamar University events. The role involves bag checks, access control, and enforcing policies to ensure a safe, enjoyable guest experience.

No prior security experience is required; training is provided. The position offers flexible part-time hours, paid weekly, and opportunities to advance with ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and may be required.
• Background check and post-offer drug/alcohol test required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in event day preparation and execution.
• Control access; verify tickets, wristbands and badges; direct venue traffic.
• Screen guests at entry using bag searches, metal detectors, and ID checks.
• Protect guests, staff, and assets by monitoring for security breaches at checkpoints.
• Respond quickly to crowd-control issues and escort unruly guests when needed.
• Follow venue policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Provide a positive guest experience at entrances and concourses.
• Offer directions to enhance the guest experience.
