Job summary

Proof of the Pudding in Austin, TX is seeking Prep Cooks for seasonal, part-time work at events at Circuit of the Americas. You will set up stations, follow prep lists, and assist chefs to ensure high-quality, timely dishes in a fast-paced environment.

Experience in a kitchen and ServSafe training are preferred; live within 25 miles of COTA is encouraged. On-the-job training is provided at a scenic venue.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of kitchen or catering experience.
• Live within 25 miles of Circuit of the Americas preferred.
• ServSafe certified or able to receive training.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and sanitize workstations.
• Follow prep lists created by lead culinary.
• Measure ingredients and seasonings.
• Prepare cooking ingredients such as soup stock.
• Prepare simple dishes as directed by the Executive Sous Chef.
• Ensure all food items are stored properly.
• Assist chefs with culinary tasks.
• Supervise food temperatures and cooling.
• Accept or reject ingredients from suppliers.
• Maintain a clean, sanitized kitchen.
• Maintain high food quality with the team.
• Run food on game-days.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
