Job summary

Proof of the Pudding, operator of COTA Catering, seeks Event Captains for premium hospitality. This part-time role leads on-event teams, ensures quality service in hospitality suites and catering events, and adapts to daily calendar needs.

Reporting to operations, you’ll oversee setup, staff coordination, and client interaction during high-profile events at COTA in Austin, TX. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, strong leadership, and customer service skills, with experience in stadiums

Qualifications

• Experience leading a food & beverage team
• Experience in stadiums, large events, or hospitality suites preferred
• Strong customer service and client communication at events

Responsibilities

• Ensure tables or buffets are set per diagram or sample
• Manage time effectively and delegate tasks to the team
• Oversee the staff scheduled for each event and coordinate with serving, bartending and culinary teams
• Conduct pre-shift meetings and manage event operations to ensure flawless execution
• Handle setup/breakdown of events, inventory, and maintenance of clean work areas
