Job summary

San Diego Padres in San Diego, CA is seeking a Manager, Event Operations to oversee execution of all Petco Park events from an operational perspective, including Padres home games and large non-baseball events and concerts.

You will recruit, hire, train, and develop the Event Crew, manage budgets and logistics, ensure safety and guest experience, and liaise with partners for activations and internal events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Event Management or related field.
• Minimum 2–4 years supervisory experience in a sports/entertainment facility.
• Proven recruiting, selection, supervision, evaluation and training of part-time staff.
• Experience managing large scale events including concerts or sports.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operational execution of all Petco Park events and related activities.
• Recruit, hire, train and develop the Event Crew and Reserves Program.
• Supervise event staff, manage budgets, logistics and safety compliance.
• Coordinate with partners and internal teams to ensure smooth events.
