Job summary

Indianapolis Business Journal seeks an Event Coordinator to support IBJ Media’s premier events across central Indiana and statewide. You will work with the Director of Events to deliver a portfolio of 50+ annual events, serving as the primary organizer and brand ambassador for guest inquiries.

You’ll plan, market and manage day-of logistics, coordinating internal and external communications for stakeholders and ensuring a superb attendee experience.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be highly organized with strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in event planning or coordination is preferred.
• Willingness to travel statewide as needed.

Responsibilities

• Drive operational delivery for a high-volume portfolio of 50+ events across IBJ Media brands.
• Manage end-to-end ticketing, digital registration, invoicing and guest inquiries.
• Oversee on-site registration, attendee flow and vendor timelines.
• Build relationships with sponsors, VIPs, and honorees to ensure deliverables.
• Collaborate with editorial, marketing and creative teams for synchronized promotion.
• Coordinate on-site operations with venues, production teams and vendors.
• Develop SOPs and track data-driven insights for the event portfolio.
