The City of Fredericksburg in Virginia is seeking an Event Logistics Worker to plan and manage event logistics. You will supervise Park Operations Worker II and seasonal staff as the on-site lead, coordinating with the Special Event & Programs Coordinator and partners to ensure successful events.

This role may assist with park and facility maintenance; flexible hours, weekends and evenings; apply by September 18, 2026; starting range $45,064 to $49,570 with full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18
• Virginia Driver's License and a clean driving record
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two (2) years of experience in event operations, event logistics, or a related field
• One (1) year of experience coordinating or leading special events, facility rentals, or public programs
• CDL or ability to obtain one within 6 months of employment may be required
• Preferred: Experience supervising or directing seasonal staff or work crews
• Preferred: Some basic carpentry and landscaping experience

• Event Planning and Coordination: Manage all aspects of City and Department events, including setup and breakdown, schedules, layouts, staffing, and vendor coordination.
• Event Execution and Supervision: Lead on-site event logistics, directing staff during event preparations, and providing support at City events to ensure smooth execution.
• Equipment Management: Manage event equipment from delivery to return, maintaining inventory, and scheduling maintenance to ensure everything is in top condition.
• Flexibility and Additional Duties: This role demands flexible work hours, including weekends and evenings, and entails performing various other related tasks as needed.

What You’ll Do

As an Event Logistics Worker for the City of Fredericksburg, you will plan and manage logistics for various events.
