Event Logistics Specialist A/V (Finance)

The Event Logistics - Audio & Visual Specialist is responsible for overseeing building operations, event logistics, and student staff during non-traditional work hours. They support student building managers and staff working nights and weekends. This position develops comprehensive event experience packages to enhance the faculty, students, and client experience.

The Event Logistics - Audio & Visual Specialist focuses on supporting audio-visual and lighting needs of the Marshall Student Center. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and four years of related experience. Appropriate college coursework may substitute for experience at an equivalent rate.

Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and 1 year of experience in Audio & Visual Production.

This position may be subject to a Level 1 or Level 2 criminal background check.

• Serve as the point of contact for the Sound & Light team, handling client and customer complaints and issues. Supervise and inspect SNL setups, assist with high-level events, resolve issues during events, and update student employee manuals.
• Supervise room setups to ensure they match reservation requests, communicate with customers, secure equipment, and manage facility turnover. Use daily event schedules and setup worksheets to provide excellent customer service.
• Oversee and supervise student staff at the Marshall Student Center, focusing on student development and leadership. Assist with recruitment, hiring, training, and onboarding of student staff.
• Manage opening, closing, securing the facility, and report security, maintenance, or equipment issues. Enforce policies and handle crises such as injuries or confrontations.
• Collaborate with Event Planners and the Operational Team to meet client and building needs and deliver high-quality customer service.
