Job summary

Kehoe Designs in Chicago is seeking a Driver / Event Installer / Shop Technician to support event operations by transporting staff and equipment, setting up decor, and maintaining AV and staging gear. This hybrid role also involves prep, maintenance, and organizing gear in the shop and on-site at events.

You will drive company vehicles, load/unload, follow safety guidelines, and adapt to evening and weekend hours.

Qualifications

Must be 21 years of age.
Ability to understand, read and speak English.
Proof of clean driving record.
Strong knowledge of safe vehicle usage and Illinois rules of the road.
Ability to travel locally, and outside the city and state.

Responsibilities

Drives company vehicles to and from events, on schedule.
Transport staff, equipment, and décor on time according to schedule.
Secure cargo per safety protocols to prevent damage and injury.
Complete required USDOT/FMSCA driving logs accurately and on time.
Loads and unloads props, furniture, decor for delivery and return.
Prep and de-prep audio, video, lighting, staging, and rigging equipment for events.
Assist in minor builds or technical setups as needed.
Support onsite tech needs when required.
