Job summary

Kehoe Designs in Chicago is seeking a Warehouse Assistant to move, store, wrap, and prepare props and furniture for events. You will learn inventory, pull sheets, wrap and prep items for delivery, and keep the workspace organized and safe.

The role requires basic English, physical fitness, ability to lift 30-40 lbs, and flexibility to work evenings or weekends. Compensation ranges from $18 to $22 per hour plus benefits including health, 401(k), PTO, and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand, read and speak simple English.
• Good verbal communication with Warehouse team.
• Ability to interpret pull sheets.
• Familiarity with proper packing methods helps.

Responsibilities

• Learns inventory and pull sheets to fill event orders.
• Prepares props and furniture for events (wrapping fabric/vinyl, drilling holes, nailing, hammering, painting, staining).
• Wraps furniture and props for delivery; unwraps inventory as needed.
• Maintains clean, organized and safe workspace.
• Warehouse levels 2/3 perform more complex work with supervision reduced.
