Job summary

Legends Global at the Knoxville Convention Center is seeking hands-on cooks to support event food production under the Executive and Sous Chefs. You will follow approved recipes, maintain sanitation, and assist with plated and catered meals for events.

The role requires strong knowledge of kitchen equipment and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, including overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two-year culinary degree or continuing education credits preferred.
• Minimum of three years' experience as a cook or at least one year in banquet/catering operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an organized and sanitary workstation at all times.
• Follow approved recipes and production standards.
• Prepare meats, vegetables, starches, and desserts as directed, adjust quantities for volume.
• Label and date food items for storage.
• Maintain and organize storage rooms, refrigerators, and freezers.
• Assist with plating of catered meals.
• Assist with concessions operations for events.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
