Job summary

Legends Global is seeking a hands-on Prep Cook for the Food and Beverage team at the Wilmington Convention Center. You will produce and inventory hot and cold foods under the direction of the Executive Chef, ensuring compliance with established standards.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, 2+ years of food service experience, ability to lift up to 40 pounds, and ServSafe certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Must read and understand English.
• Learn operation of all kitchen equipment.
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards.
• Knowledge of sanitary practices.
• Ability to measure weights (dry and liquid).
• Lift up to 40 pounds.
• Identify and properly use kitchen small wares.
• Produce high quality food in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive customer service attitude.
• Maintains grooming and dress code standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain organized sanitary workstation.
• Label and date food items for storage and retail concession sales.
• Assist in the preparation of vegetables, baked goods, proteins, and salads.
• Minimize waste by controlling overage and usage.
• Follow approved recipes and production standards.
• Prepare all food for concessions as directed by Executive Chef.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
