Job summary

Oak View Group in Albany, GA, seeks a hands-on Sous Chef to assist the Executive Sous Chef and Food and Beverage Manager in daily culinary operations across concession kitchens, premium hospitality areas, suites, catering, banquets, and events at the Civic Center, Auditorium, and Amphitheatre.

The role concentrates on food production, maintaining quality, supervising kitchen staff, ensuring food safety, and executing all culinary services for a busy event-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years of culinary experience in high-volume environments such as restaurants, hotels, stadiums, or arenas.
• Some previous supervisory experience is required.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, presentation, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation, cooking, and service of all food items to ensure quality and guest satisfaction.
• Ensure recipes, portions, presentation, and production procedures are followed at all times.
• Lead line cooks as expeditor during peak periods to maintain efficiency and quality.
