Job summary

Oak View Group (OVG) is seeking an Event Staff Member for The Liacouras Center in Philadelphia. You will assist the Events Department with guest services, ticket taking, and act as a liaison between event manager and guests for each event.

This part-time role pays an hourly rate of $14.00. Responsibilities include providing excellent customer service, assisting guests with entry/exit, scanning tickets, guiding guests, enforcing policies, and helping with ADA seating.

Qualifications

• Experience in a hospitality or entertainment environment is preferred.
• Must love working with and helping people.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to maintain a positive attitude while handling difficult situations.
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service.
• Prepare your assigned section for guests; this could include wiping down seats, looking for potential hazards, and reporting any issues to a supervisor.
• Assist guests with entry and exit into the complex.
• Scan tickets and greet guests.
• Assist fans in locating seats and access around the complex and provide answers for any questions when asked.
• Being alert and proactive to potential hazards and reporting incidents when they occur.
• Monitor your assigned area for issues and opportunities to make an unforgettable experience.
• Respond to all guest concerns/complaints promptly and in a professional manner.
• Assist guests in ADA-accessible seating sections.
• Enforce all building policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for all guests.
• Manage the foot traffic flow of large crowds.
• Be knowledgeable about the complex emergency evacuation plan in order to safely assist guests during the unlikely event of an emergency.
• Perform other duties or tasks as assigned.
