Job summary

The I Hotel & Illinois Conference Center in Champaign, IL seeks an organized Event Coordinator to help execute weddings, conferences, galas and corporate events in our Four-Diamond facility. You’ll manage events from planning through clean-up and ensure guest experiences meet our high standards.

You’ll build detailed plans, present proposals, coordinate with AV and vendors, assist guests with menus and décor, and keep events running smoothly under pressure.

Qualifications

• Previous Event Coordinator experience required.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and multitasking ability.
• Calm, professional demeanor in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate events of all sizes from meetings to weddings and galas.
• Build detailed event plans and present client proposals.
• Manage events from planning through clean-up.
• Assist guests with menus, decor, staffing, and logistics.
• Prepare floor plans and coordinate with the AV team.
• Ensure smooth execution and resolve issues quickly.
• Communicate with guests, suppliers, contractors, and staff.
• Maintain a polished event environment before, during and after.
